When you mouseover the pics, they have a white transparent cover and seem fuzzy.  Please take a look and see what I need to do to fix it.  www.moonlightghosthunters.com/gallery

Thanks!

It is specific to the theme and browser. It only happens in IE, not firefox.

It doesn't happen in classic:

Hmmmm.....I was wondering if it was the size of the picture because some of them do it and some don't.  I'll try changing the theme and see what happens.

I use IE all the time, as it is more widely used than firefox.  I do have it loaded though.

wildnsyko

Okay, just opened it up as is in firefox and it's fine.  Is there anyway to figure out what changes it in IE?

Tranz

Yes, IE is more widely used, but it's not the best. FF beats it hands down. It's also more web-developer friendly. Though the flip side that it's frustrating making sites compatible with IE.

You'd have to look at what I guess would be style.css file for funky IE-specific attribute(s).

Here's an even better one.....I looked at my gallery earlier today and it was fine.  I look at it just now and it's back to classic and will not let me change the theme!  How bizarre?!  Could someone be hacking into my site???

Try index.php?theme=default

or delete your site's cookies.

Okay, more on confusion....last night I viewed it in Firefox and was making changes.  At lunchtime, IE worked.  Tonight, IE is classic theme and Firefox is fiblue3d (which I had).  I'm reloading my pics again because I didn't load them all back up last night.  So, you're saying, if I delete the cookies, then I 'should' be able to change my theme on IE, correct?

Casper

the easiest thing to do is what kegobeer said, in both browsers, add '?theme=default' to the end of the url when on the home page.
You only need to do this once, then the browser will use the theme set in your config.

This is because the user theme is remembered in the cookie used by the browser.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

wildnsyko

I narrowed it down to Fiblue3d Theme to screwing up the pics.  I gave up on that.  Next question is I need to add a link at the top to return to home page.  Where do I do that and how?

kegobeer

One question per thread, please.

Plenty of posts about how to add links.  Please search the forums.

I'm reading through them.  I keep finding either to change the theme.php or template.html, but not exactly what to put in there to change it.  I'll have to get back at it later.  I'm so confused now that I don't want to screw it up.

Main answer to the fuzzy pictures is change my theme.  You can put solved on this and I'll worry about my other question later.

Thanks!
