Hello everyone,
I musts say CPG is working great for me once I learnt hot to customize it!
However, I am setting up a gallery for a company I am hosting, an have only one user---the administrator. How so make this users albums to display on the gallery index page. So far I am using

"breadcrumb/lastalb/alblist/random,1/toprated,1"

I have tried several differnt combinations, but i have failed. Dont care to much for the catlist to be displayed. I would like for the visitors to the gallery to be able to chose from the 3 albums (and any future ablbums) of the site owner. "alblist" by itself is not doing this, and I have discriptions on the albums which i woild like visitors to read.
Thank you very much

Abbas Ali

What is the value of " Show first level album thumbnails in categories" on config page? If its 'No' then set it to 'Yes'.

Don't store your albums in categories.  Just have the albums by themselves and delete the categories.  Then you will have NO catlist.  Just albums.

I guess you're using the personal gallery feature. Don't do that - it's meant for other users. The admin should create public categories and albums (using the buttons named "categories" and "albums" in the admin menu).
For details, post a link to your site.

thats true... beacause ----( "breadcrumb/lastalb/alblist/random,1/toprated,1" )
So what you see on the index is a list of last updated ablums
but what I am trying to get is the actual album lists with their little descriptions.

Thanks

OK, you don't display the catlist... therefore you won't see the usergalleries or albums that are in a category.
Create albums you want to show outside any category. Now temporarily enable categories so that you can browse to your old albums, click edit files next to the album and change the album to one of your new ones.

If it's not user galleries but albums in noraml categories you just click properties next to the album and change album category to 'no category'

Worked Like a Charm! ;)
You are brilliant
