how to delete "my gallery", "rating" and "favorites"

hi everybody
for my site  i do not need "my gallery", all the "rating"-tools and "favorites".
how can i do that. i already read in the faq how to delete a feature like "e-card", but this doen`t really  help me.
for "my gallery" and "favorites" it could be only deleting the links in the menu?? how ? and what about the rating?

sorry, i missed these entries somehow. but now i saw them and tried and tried and tried.... and failed.
this is what i did:
copied this from theme/sample/theme.php:

oh my god, i also just realized, that the rating tool for each pic is still alive. so i only kind of deleted the top-rating-link.

i just deleted the following out of themes/mytheme/theme.php (which i just pasted there):

now, no problems any more with my menu, but i also read somewhere, that i should not delete it. may it have consequences for me in the future? but i don`t know what else to do.  of  course, i saved everything before.
and still, any suggestions for the removing the rating-tool??

yeah, i think i was too much in changing scripts... and forgot the easy way to solve this problem. thanx for the help.
but i`m still a littl worried about my deleting szenario and the consequences.
