Perhaps you should look in the category manager. (hint, try editing one of your categories)

I don't know which version category manager i'm using, (i guess it's the standard 1.3 version, but it didn't allow me to select a highilight image. I've just downloaded and uploaded the latest version and it seems to work now, thanks
