Just a "blank" page when uploading larger pictures

Hi, I am experiencing this upload problem: I am able to upload pictures successfully, but not, it seems, for larger JPEG pictures e.g. 600+KB. I am on GD2 (since ImageMagick isn't installed). Upload isn't a problem when I resize them to ~100KB first (but I'd like to upload full-sized picture files...)

When I do single file upload, I get a "blank" browser window upon clicking "Upload" - and a check in the album confirms that the picture hasn't been added. It is also the same when I proceed with a batch upload (despite the "question mark" appearing next to picture name in "List of new files".) For either case, I do not get any error message or other indication of an error.

I have set all directories to 0755 and now 0777 to no effect. I'd post a test account, but the installation is on a local server (intranet).

Check your php.ini file in your server setup and change the max_execution_time = 30 to something more appropriate. Maybe 1200.

Hi I've changed max_execution_time value to 1200 and then restarted the web server, but there's no change.

Even tried 3600, but still no change.   :\'(

Just curious, under "Files and Thumbnails settings" in Config, what is your" Max size for uploaded files (KB)"  setting?

Ok the "Max size for uploaded files (KB)" value under "Files and thumbnails settings" is 2048.
