CPG143 with Blackbirch template.

When I attempt to log in with ADMIN mode (password is correct), I am not presented with the ADMIN screen. It merely goes back to the normal, home screen. I tried other usernames - same thing. The username/passwords are accepted, but the gallery simply ignores it and the REGISTER | LOGIN options remain on the screen. Any ideas anyone?

post a link and non-admin test user account.

I really wish I could. As I said, I can't get in to do anything. No user accounts do anything. I tried upgrading to 1.4.5 - same thing.

The link however is:

CPG145(?) with Blackbirch template.

My gallery is effectively useless, and this morning I have invited some prominent artists to visit and upload their work. Arrgghh - how embarrassing!

The site is at:- http://www.pdistudios.com/cpg143/index.php

I cannot get in to create any test accounts. You can try [] and [] which *was* a working account for uploading images.

I can be reached at silverrain@austin.rr.com if one of the admins would like the SQL username/password to see if they can figure out the issue.

Nothing else on the server has changed to my knowledge, as I use a secure, static  server, unfortunately with WINDOWS and IE6.x

Cheers

Admin account works for me, so removed from your post for your own good.

Cool! Now I actually need it to work for *me*. Any ideas?

Hmm, yeah, did that - still doesn't work.

So after literally WEEKS of messing with this and getting right, I now have to ditch it and al my hard work because I can't get in to use it, and no-one can tell me why? How sad is this?

Welcome to the wonderful world of flakey modern technology. All Band-Aids and a few prayers. After that, scrap it and start again.

This CPG is just not ready, or practical for commercial use. Too finicky, too vulnerable, and it constantly has security/permission issues, locking out the owners/administrators. This board is littered with similar complaints.

There is also no reliable tech support who understand how it works, or how to fix seemingly simple problems such as access and security. Any piece of software is effectively uselsss if it constantly denies the administrators access. Imagine if OSs did that? Or heart/lung machines.

Why, we could blame cookies, right?

Maybe in a few years' time, we will have Galleries that the public can use, without advanced programing skills. For now, CPG just ain't it.

Transmission Ends ..............

HI,

The last post is your meaning.

I don not know a lot of php and other magical stuffs?

And I can use CPG without problems.

I got one, and now it is fixed.

If you want, I a sure that a member would come to your PC to solve it ...but how much would it cost for you?

OK, verify the cookies, ...

Otherwise good luck aith CPG or another one
