I have searched this board but not yet found the answer to my question: (how) can you integrate Coppermine with phpBB2 if they are already installed separately? Is it just changing the init.inc.php file?

You will need to follow the usual integration steps, and then mass register your users into phpbb. There should be a script for this in the forum somewhere.

I changed init.inc.php and phpbb.inc.php and after logging in, using the phpbb login+ password I was directed to the phpBB board.  How do I get to Coppermine?

You need to put links in your forum to your gallery, and vice verca.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here
