Hola niko20,

In english -

I think his problem is that he cant see the animated .gif when the image is small (i presume he means thumbnail), they are static. Again, i dont know the answer but i will translate.

Also i recived a pm from niko saying that the images are pixelated when he enlarges them, presume that this is the thuumbnails he is talking about and the result of doing the instructions in a previous post in theis thread. Does any one know the answer?

- The image libraries coppermine uses do not support animated gifs.

- The initial size of thumbs was set to 100px. For that dimension thumbs have been created. If later on the admin decides to set other values, then he should follow the hints.
From the config page:
Quote(**) When changing this setting, only the files that are added from that point on are affected, so it is advisable that this setting must not be changed if there are already files in the gallery. You can, however, apply the changes to the existing files with the "admin tools (resize pictures)" utility from the admin menu.
means... run the admin tools and recreate the thumbs so that they match your new settings.

just_some_guy

Vale, veo tu problema.

EN:
Coppermine DOES support animated gifs, well - at least for me...
I think it depends on the software installed on the server? Maybe 'convert' which I believe is used by default to resize photos may be out of date.

just_some_guy

@zieloo, i think stramm means that GD or IM does not conserve the animation of the image when it is resized to thumbnail size.

GIF animation get's lost when resizing the images using the libraries Coppermine can use (GD or ImageMagick), that's why Stramm said that those libraries don't support GIF animation. Subsequently, animated GIFs become static ones (only displaying the initial frame) when resizing them (intermediate image and thumbnail).

Apparently people got the impression that it was allowed to ask for support in Spanish.... Well, it isn't. This thread has been invalid in the first place, for reasons discussed many times over in other threads (e.g. Spanish support board closed). Locking this thread now.
