Hi, I've read lots and lots of threads from searching on this and also read the DOCS, but I'm still struggling with what to do :(

I have over 2,000 images uploaded to my gallery and I've just installed this Stramm modpack and I want to add watermarks on all of my images, but I'm stuck with how to do get the watermark on all of the images which were already uploaded.

Could someone please tell me how I get the old images to have my watermark on

Thanks so much

ib2loud

go to "admin tools" in your admin menu, there you will see "Update thumbs and/or resized photos (1)". Run that update through and as long as your watermark is working properly it will put it on all of the images.

Ok thanks, but will it affect any of my images, because I read somewhere that it made someones images stop being fullsize when you click on them

Stramm

Just read the announcement thread in order to find out what the mod does.

The 'stop being fullsize' report was a not properly adapted theme. Same here... just read the entire thread to find out what it's all about.

I read like the first 8 pages, but theres 30

and I did a search, but I just didn't understand it all

Anyway I will do what ib2loud has said :)

Thanks

Ok I just tried what ib2loud said and I got around 170 images done, then it just stops refreshing and the page stays white

I tried different numbers on "Number of processed images per click", from 1 to 5, but still the same

And I had "Both resized and full sized (if a orig copy is available)" ticked

Anyone know why thats happening?

Try "Only thumbnails" first, and once have donde that, try "Only normal images".

Ok, I did them in order:

Only thumbnails (mini and regular)
Only resized pictures

I did them two fine, but when I was in the process of doing "Just full sized (if a orig copy is available)", I got this error:

QuoteFatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 6400 bytes) in /home/dannym/public_html/lilwaynehq.com/cpg1419/include/picmgmt.inc.php on line 442

Ok, I have fixed all this now, so thanks for that guys :)

But now the watermark is not working properly

The watermark only shows on the resized pictures when in config.php "Both" is selected

My gallery is located here

Anyone know why its like this?

Thanks

Stramm

All images need to have correct permissions (see various threads and several questions in the annoncement threads). The permissions are depending on your server setup. For files usually 644 or 666. Check the fullsize images and chmod in case their permissions differ from thumbs or imtermediate images. Sometimes it's the ownership. In that case chown.
In the end it's important that the php user or ImageMagick (whatever library you use) has write access to the fullsized image. As you've uploaded them yourself (batch add I suppose - as that's the only only possibility that fullzized pics have different permissions and/ or ownership) through FTP, you could setup your FTP client or the FTP user to do that while uploading.

Thanks Stramm, that was the problem :P

Anyway I have started again with my gallery and I will put the files to 666

So thanks for your help :D
